I’d produced earlier rounds of It’s Not Surprising, and the creative team knew I liked producing music when I wasn’t producing ads. For “Runway,” they asked me to pitch against several music houses, and to my surprise, they picked one of my tracks. It debuted as a YouTube masthead and racked up millions of views in its first 24 hours. Not bad for a track I wrote at 2 a.m. on a Tuesday.
